Dr. Natalie Bliss received her medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 2017 and completed her psychiatry residency at Louisiana State University-Our Lady of the Lake in Baton Rouge in 2021. She is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She is trained in general psychiatry, giving her the flexibility to diagnose patients with psychiatric disorders and give medication options. She worked for two years at Ochsner Medical Center as the head of women’s psychiatry Baptist Hospital. She assisted women during infertility struggles, loss, pregnancy, and the postpartum period. She continues to host journal clubs and sit on medical expert panels with Ochsner residents and medical students, periodically. After her time at Ochsner, she worked for Genesis Holistic Behavioral Health. She worked closely with a team of therapists to provide care for adolescents and their families.
Dr. Bliss enjoys helping individuals and families who are struggling to find balance in their home, work, or school life. She treats patients with trauma, grief, depression, anxiety, obsessive thoughts and compulsions, self-harm behaviors, cognitive dysfunction, psychotic disorders, insomnia, binge eating, and interpersonal issues. While she provides brief therapy during follow up sessions, her primary focus is in diagnosis and medication management. Her treatment plan considers the psychological, physical, and spiritual well-being of her patients. Her ultimate goal for each patient is to give him or her the tools for a purpose-driven and meaningful life.
